Godolphin supplied six of the eight runners in the Group 3 Dubai Millennium Stakes and, in front of Sheikh Mohammed, who was attending Meydan for the first time this season, they supplied the first five home.

Spotify and James Doyle landed the spoils, as they had on the horse's Godolphin debut four weeks ago in a 1m4f turf handicap, for Charlie Appleby, who was saddling his 14th winner of the carnival.

Appleby said: “He is just tough and very genuine. That was a very clever tactical ride from James who said if they came to him sooner the horse would have found plenty again.
