Thyme Hill very much remains the stable star at Philip Hobbs's Sandhill stables and advertised his talents with victory on his chase debut at Exeter last week.

The yard perhaps lacks the strength in depth of Grade 1 talent it once boasted yet still remains a leading force in the south-west and at the major festivals. Thyme Hill could very much play a significant role in that.

Hobbs secured a rare Punchestown winner last season with handicapper Camprond, who is one of a number who could make that jump to the elite level this season. The novice ranks feature plenty of untapped potential.
