It seems like Mark Johnston has a live contender in every juvenile race being run at the moment, and Mutazawwed showed enough on debut to make me think he will be tough to beat here.
He ran at Newcastle first time up, finishing fifth, but wasn't beaten far and lost a couple of places late on. The form of that race was given a healthy boost at Royal Ascot, as winner Muker finished a fine third in the Windsor Castle.
Significantly (second) and Lockdown (sixth), both finished runner-up next time out, so the debut form has some substance. Hopefully Franny Norton can Mutazawwed's previous experience to good use.
